The challenges we face

Companies, especially SMEs, can face significant challenges to introduce their new and innovative products into the NHS. The complexity of public procurement, patient safety and a risk averse culture across multiple organisations can be daunting. The Innovation Nexus aims to provide a single source of resource that can help companies, particularly SMEs, understand the steps that need to be taken to support their business planning and engage with the NHS more easily, thus progressing the adoption of their innovation at pace and with fewer unanticipated obstacles.

New funding and development opportunities for innovators

GM AHSN's, purpose is to spread innovation, improve health and generate economic growth in our region.

We connect the NHS with academic organisations, local authorities, the third sector and industry, creating the right conditions to facilitate change across whole health and social care economies, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients.

We are holding an event, on November 8th, for Greater Manchester-based innovators - from industry, academic and clinical backgrounds - which will give an overview of the latest opportunities for funding and development we are offering.

Having just announced the first winners of our Energise and Momentum funds, this event will launch our Ignite Fund, and the next round of applications for Momentum.
