If you work in the NHs and have an idea for an innovation that could benefit the health service there are a number of places where you can find support:
Your own organisation may have a team that deals with Intellectual Property and commercialisation, or a Research & Development office that could help you.
The NHS Innovation Hub for the North West (TRUSTECH) provides innovation support and technology development services to member Trusts – if your Trust is a TRUSTECH member you will be eligible for this support.
For further information about Intellectual Property, see the GM AHSN’ s IP Essentials resource.
If you are an innovator in a University or other academic institution you should start by contacting your own organisation’s Technology Transfer Office. If you require support with engaging with the NHS to develop your idea you may find help from organisations such as TRUSTECH.
